This completes the implementation guide. Continue reading for additional configuration and data population options.
Please note: Based on information provided by you in the questionnaire, there may be additional steps required to complete the implementation.
Data Population (Optional)
Mentis comes with sensible defaults for most of the core data. However, to personalize the system to your institutions’ need it requires a set of data fields from your existing directory services. These data fields include information about your units and program (click to download template)
Automate your data population
Mentis has the built‐in capability of both initial and periodic synchronization of this data with your existing data sources. If you would like to leverage that capability, you can provide this information through an automated directory API service (see Directory fields for automated import in the excel file (click to download)).
Lastly, this information can also be provided via SFTP data dumps. The file formats would remain the same as provided in the individual sheets mentioned above but this option can be helpful when a directory service is not available or reachable and/or the volume of data is high.
Data population can also be automated for loading users into Mentis. However, if you only have a few users, you can provide the information in an excel file (see Step 2 above).
